Careers and Placement for Graduates
Translators are key players in diverse multicultural teams, facilitators of knowledge transfers for solving key problems and communicators in highly sensitive situations.
In a rapidly globalizing world, professionals capable of bridging gaps and facilitating interactions among different cultures, languages and fields are more needed than ever. The GCAT master's program provides students with the tools, both theoretical and practical, for careers helping organizations navigate this dynamic marketplace.
Alumni from the GCAT program are currently working in China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Italy, the U.S. and elsewhere in translation, content creation, localization, program and project management, video game translation and localization, working with Generative AI, as technical leads, language teachers, editorial assistants, customer success and community management personnel, and in language access.

Class of 2022
Senior Translation Project Manager at Global Wordsmiths
"The GCAT program has really opened new doors for me in the language service industry. I came to the program with a pure interest in translation, but I have learned a lot more new skills other than translation throughout the practical courses and projects. Those skills have proven valuable in my current job, and I am extremely grateful for the experience."
